Also doing business as Intelladapt, EdwiseTech Inc. is a MIT spin-off company developing Adaptive Learning for STEM Education Using massive open online courses delivered on mobile devices. Adaptive learning is a technology to enhance instruction by understanding what a student knows and directing him or her on a path through content at the students pace. Adaptive Learning employs a pedagogical framework, containing multiple learning strategies, pathways, and educational content personalized for the individual. With intellADAPT's Adaptive 2.0 platform, students are presented with content in line with their own preferred learning strategy. A students learning strategy is determined by our sophisticated customization models incorporating data from a short survey and the student's performance and path through the content. The learning strategies recognized by intellADAPT are based on cognitive development theory.
