EDTEK began with the development of a solar concentrator photovoltaic and hot water co-generation system. EDTEK is in research, development, and manufacture of energy conversion products pursuing development of a power generation product line that includes modular, co-generative, alternative energy systems. The firm is focused on two complementary products; a photovoltaic (PV) generator and a thermophotovoltaic (TPV) generator. A low-cost, high-performance solar concentrator provides a common basis for each generator. The technology base is centered around low-cost high quality concentrator dishes, gallium antimonide (GaSb) and gallium arsinide (GaAs) photovoltaic cells, and a resonant micro-mesh infrared TPV filter. Three applications derived from the infrared filter are infrared optical devices, sensors,and optically transparent electrical contacts
