Formerly known as Condor Systems, in May 2002, the firm was acquired by EDO Corporation ( NYSE: EDO) and renamed EDO Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems. Condor Systems designs and manufactures Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and products. Since its founding ias a small antenna and receiver company Condor has focused primarily on the reconnaissance and ESM segments of the electronic warfare market. Our product lines and capabilities have continued to grow through our recent acquisitions of ARGOSystems' EW Business unit, SciComm, and Signal Science, Inc. as well as earlier acquisitions of Watkins-Johnson's Microwave Surveillance unit, Electronic Support Systems, Inc. (ESSI) and Scope, Inc. We provide a full range of signal collection, direction finding, range monitoring and signal processing equipment and systems to the military and intelligence communities of the United States and its allies for use on land-based, airborne and ground-mobile platforms. Our products meet the needs of the following business areas: Airborne SIGINT, Maritime Patrol ESM, Tactical ELINT/ESM, Ocean Systems Special Collection Systems Range Monitoring, COMINT, Naval ESM and ECM and Radar Warning Receivers.
