Public Profile

Edenspace Systems Corporation focuses on plant engineering for biofuel and nutrition applications, as well as plant-based soil remediation (phytoremediation) of contaminated soils. The renewable fuel and environmental sustainability products developed by the firm have applications in a variety of industries, including agbiotech, biofuels, bioproducts, nutrition, phytoremediation, and environmental services. Bioengineering plants with traits for increased biomass and improved conversion properties can dramatically reduce the costs of producing renewable fuels and biochemicals from non-food biomass sources. The firmsÂ’ crop biotechnology increases the nutritional value of food sources. Conventional and genetically modified lettuce varieties with improved calcium content are in development as a means to improve dietary calcium. Edenspace's crop enzyme expression technology can maintain conversion yields while reducing costs of external enzymes by more than 60% when applied to biomass crops such as poplar, corn stover or switchgrass. The company has offices in Kansas and Virginia.
