Formrly known as Helios International Inc., EcoCorp specializes in the advancement of clean alternative fuel technologies in the transportation sector. These fuels include natural gas as the fuel of choice in general and electricity and biodiesel in niche or specialized applications. The areas of support for alternative fuel technologies include the following: Planning for alternative fuels, including the acquisition of vehicles, specification and design of the fueling infrastructure, and obtaining financing for implementation of these plans; Research and development of state-of-the-art energy storage technologies for hybrid vehicles with emphasis on the commercialization of flywheels; and Commercialization of renewable transportation fuels including biomethane, solar electricity, and neat biodiesel from approriate seed oil and ethanol. Clients include both a multitude of public entities, such as municipalities and the federal government, as well as numerous private companies including the Big Three, suppliers of automotive parts, and fleets interested in alternative fuels.
