EcoClosure LLC is an university spin-off company, focused on design, engineering, and implementation of regenerable building enclosures for commercial, industrial and residential applications. Thefirm's inital focus - utilizing NSF SBIR support - is to address commercialization of microalgae windows. The EcoClosures system incorporates microalgae within a building enclosure as a closed-loop regenerable technology. Through the monitoring system and automation features that define the Ecoclosure approach, the system provides healthy indoor environmental quality that is customized to different building programs, climates zones, and building orientations. A real-time monitoring and control system include indoor air pollutants, temperature and humidity.
