E-Wave Technologies LLC is structured around engineering R&D into novel wave energy converters. With very close ties to Virginia Tech and Oregon State - and in collaboration with personnel across a range of related disciplines from those institutions - the team is composed of students and faculty members in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, and Electric Engineering. The feasibility of a novel ocean wave energy converter with a mechanical motion rectifier (MMR) mechanism has been demonstrated - converting the bidirectional wave motion into unidirectional generator rotation with high efficiency, reliability and compactness.wave energy converters
