Discerning Technologies, LLC (DiscernTek) was established in 2010 as a small business firm, engaged in government-funded research and development. After nearly ten years of successful work in this area, DiscernTek is in the process of winding down the business and is no longer pursuing new government or commercial contracts. After over 50 years experience in the Aerospace/Defense/Intelligence industry, with General Electric, Pan American, General Dynamics, Cubic, and Titan, as well as forming three small business startups, Dr. R. Michael Templeton, the firm's President & CEO is retiring. He is still an advocate for government-funded technology transfer & commercialization, and is thinking about writing a book to assist small businesses in winning government contracts.
