In 2013 - soon afetr the awarding of thir three SBIR Phase I's, L3 acquired the Daltron Advanced Tcehnlogy Group. Datron World Communications, Inc. had been inthe business of manufacturing and supplying tactical military and public safety radio equipment, offering tactical equipment, such as HF and VHF radios and accessories for military and government customers; P-25 portable and mobile radios, including conventional analog, P-25 digital, and P-25 trunking solutions that deliver communications interoperability in rapid-response environments where lives are on the line for first responders, public safety, and federal users; portable and fixed-site commercial communication solutions for application in industrial, aviation, national security, and government environments; and tactical aerial intelligence for military, law enforcement, search and rescue, firefighting, and civilian applications. The company also provides government solutions, including remote controlled HF ground-to-air systems; and mobile command and control vehicles with an array of tactical radios and border security networks. In addition, it offers technical support services, which include training, product demonstration, program management, and consulting; and repair and maintenance. The company serves customers worldwide through a sales representative network and regional support centers. Datron World Communications, Inc. was formerly known as Trans World Communications, Inc. and changed its name to Datron World Communications, Inc. in 1995.
