Spun out of Applied Geosolutions, LLC in 2018 with investment from the Grantham Environmental Trust, Daganâs unique satellite data and soil process models are currently used by such companies as General Mills and Ecosystem Services Markets Consortium. Dagan, Inc. provides agricultural and environmental data services to support the expansion of regenerative agriculture. Based on existing soil conditions, weather, and management, the firm's DNDC technology can provide field-based estimates of changes to soil carbon, greenhouse gas emissions, and reactive nitrogen levels. This data is key to understanding and predicting future environmental outcomes of current agriculture practices. Using remote sensing observations, the firm's OpTIS technology can provide estimates of how long tillage practices, cover cropping, and crop rotations have been used on a particular parcel of land over time. This data can explain current agriculture challenges and inform solutions for sustainable, healthy crops. With the data collected through OpTIS and DNDC, Dagan's analytics offer farm-level assessments of a wide variety of opportunities and risks associated with management decisions. These assessments aim to maximize profitability and minimize environmental impact. In February 2021 it was announced that Aglech Leader FluroSat had acquired Dagan with a view to "Unlocking potential and profitability of resilient Agriculture". The two firms will merge to support launch of a new firm - Regrow - that will provide single, systemized solutions to scaling, measuring and monetizing resilient agriculture practices
