CTFusion is focused on the development of economical, magnetic fusion energy based on compact, toroidal plasma configurations. The firm is a spin-off company from the University of Washington in the Seattle area motivated by promising results from the HIT-SI Research Project. The firm's process, called imposed-dynamo current drive (IDCD), sustains a compact, stable spheromak plasma.
