Public Profile
Originally doing business as Orbital Research, Cleveland Medical Devices Inc has sophisticated capablilities in miniaturized wireless telemetry, physiological monitoring and rehabilitation devices. The firm has recently focused much of that effort around the issue of sleep disorders. From monitors for home sleep testing to full PSG, the effort is to improve the delivery of care. The firm's web-based services and devices meet AASM guidelines, are easy for patients to use, streamline operations for healthcare providers, and offer-cost efficient solutions for payers. CleveMed´s Division of Sleep Disorders is dedicated to improving the lives of people living with sleep disorders . Sapphire PSG and Crystal Monitor® PSG Series are wireless for attended, unattended or remotely attended full PSG recordings in any setting. The Type III SleepScout and SleepView along with a sleep webportal make home sleep testing (hst) accessible. CleveMed's sleep monitors use Crystal PSG software, a user-friendly software package for data acquisition, scoring and reporting. Because of the systems´ compact size and wireless design, system setup and rearrangement are fast and simple. The systems are uniquely suited not just for studies in the traditional sleep lab setting, but also for nontraditional sleep lab applications such as hospital inpatient testing, outpatient pre-surgical testing, nursing homes, "hotel sleep labs" and patients´ homes. The firm is also addressing development, manufacture, and marketing of rehabilitation and monitoring products that improve quality of life and allow patients to leave the hospital earlier, thus lowering total health care costs.
