Brain Image Analysis operates specifically to provide services to researchers who have need for brain morphology measures. It is important in many studies of development and aging to examine Brain morphometry as well as in disease processes and medical interventions. However, to develop the ability and skills in-house are often a barrier to acquiring a full battery of brain volume measurements. Brain Image Analysis offers highly accurate measures of caudate, putamen, globus, accumbens, thalamus, hippocampus and cerebellar lobes using high throughput, highly successful automated methods augmented by individual review of each scan for accuracy and consistency. The methods used by Brain Image Analysis are a commercial extenstion of BRAINS and AutoWorkup, the result of over 20 years of brain research and software development. the firm is authorized to modify and use BRAINS to provide brain morphometry as a commercial service, and are indebted to all the researchers who have contributed to their efforts. Commercial extension of these methods, including highly accurate, new applications of the artificial neural network (ANN) subcortical parcellations, is contributed back to their laboratories to enhance their ongoing efforts.
