BrachyFoam, LLC is an early phase medical device startup structured around preclinical development of a hydrogel-based device to improve methods of image-guided pelvic brachytherapy. Inspired by unmet clinical needs in image-guided brachytherapy and designed to improve patient care from the perspectives of both patients and their physicians, in a collaborative involving University of Virgina personnel and Virginia Tech, Brachyfoam is focused on development of a new strategy for vaginal packing during cervical cancer brachytherapy.
