Described as "harnessing technology from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base." in addition to their AF aawrd, a Dayton OH entity (Ohio Third Frontier Commission) awarded Bowerbags LLC $100,000 for the development and commercialization of a modular carrying product for members of the military and first responders. The underlying concept to that decision is indicated as helping reduce injuries caused by heavy weight loads carried on the job, the commission said.
