Among the most cost-effective, highest performance mirror technology available, the firm's products are used to drive scientific discovery in astronomy, laser beam shaping, microscopy, vision science, and to support a variety of defense applications. The firm's mirrors are also used to perform open-loop & closed-loop adaptive optics. Customers include NASA, UC Berkeley and Lockheed Martin. BMC also develop low power modulating retro-reflectors for the US Army. The firm has also developed advanced MEMS-based mirror products for use in commercial adaptive optics systems with recent offerings to include an Adaptive Optics Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope appliying wavefront correction to produce high-resolution images of the human retina and enhance blurred images.
