The BioSensor Group is comprised of Sensor Technologies LLC and BioHybrid Technologies LLC. Both firms are active in the SBIR program, but clearly share the same space and personnel. Sensor Technologies patented technology represents a fundamental advance in glucose monitoring technology. A tiny implant containing a fluorescent glucose-sensitive chemistry will be placed beneath the surface of the skin in an outpatient procedure. The fluorescent signal from this implant will be read across the skin to determine the glucose concentration. Sensor's technology will allow long-term continuous glucose monitoring and for the first time, raises the real possibility of closed-loop insulin delivery
