Public Profile

Biophotonics Corporation is involved in DNA sequencing instruments. BioPhotonics Corporation (BP) has implemented several technical advances in fluorescent detection technology developed in the past years by our research group at SUNY Stony Brook. This technology is based on multicolor laser excitation and single photon counting and offers an extremely sensitive detection of minute amounts of fluorescent material (down to single fluorescence molecules). These elements underlie a successful research and development program that has been pursued at SUNYSB. BioPhotonics Corporation licensed the technology from the SUNY Research Foundation and is actively pursuing its development in the Long Island High Technology Incubator
