Public Profile

Biological Dynamics Inc. is an early stage company that has developed a proprietary AC Electrokinetic technology designed rapidly to extract nanoparticles in high-conductance physiological solutions. The firm's device uses a dielectrophoretic microelectrode microarray to quickly purify circulating cell-free nucleic acids directly from unprocessed fluid samples. Principals of the firm have developed a microelectrode chip-based method providing a fast and inexpensive tool for extracting vital particles from liquid biopsies -- using the approach for cell-free DNA assays and other applications. The firm's patented platforms for direct and selective capture of large necrotic particles in physiological solutions - including cell-free nucleic acids (cfDNA) that have been established as biomarkers of necrosis, cancer and inflammation. Tracking these biomarkers has been demonstrated to predict efficacy of cancer therapeutics. This has applications in autoimmune/inflammation, transplant rejection, infectious disease, traumatic brain injury and trauma.
