Emerging antibiotic resistant infections and the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the immediate need to improve the processes needed/used to identify, track, and treat infections in hospitals. In part with NSF SBIR support, the personnel of BioInfoExperts have developed a cloud-based platform that uses the latest advances in pathogen genomic analytics combined with patient data effectively to identify and to mitigate infectious disease outbreaks. Designated FoxSeq®, the firm's platform is personalized for each working environment such that each can be seamlessly integrated into individual workflows. The longer term objective is that the system - designated FoxSeq - could be being used by health systems, pharmaceutical companies and public health for improved diagnostics, identifying and tracking the emergence of pathogenic strains, and assisting in vaccine/drug discovery.
