Doing business since 2007 as a subsiduary of Tornier, Inc., Axya Medical is a venture funded firm which has created the technology of ultrasonic welding of sutures and polymers for surgical applications. Axya Medical, Inc. offers knotless fixation systems for shoulder repair providing knotless fixation systems, including control unit, handpiece, wielding sleeve, and sutures; and implants, including titanium implants, bioabsorbable implants, and super implants. The company also provides shoulder accessories, including removal tool, bone punch, bioabsorbable anchor tap, and drill guide with obturator; and general accessories, such as electrical cord, handpiece sterilization tray, protective horn sheath, suture separator, suture grasper, and arthroscopic suture cutter.
