AndrosRobotics LLC, spun off from Northeastern University, develops a Robotic Leg Advancement Device for gait training of neurological patients. The firm's product is an accessory which is fitted onto stationary and wheeled frames, allowing a single physical therapist to administer intensive gait training, performed over the treadmill or over the ground. The company is also developing a Compliant Force Control Module (CFCM) Actuator that offers high-fidelity force-control performance at a low price point, to enable a new breed of products, not feasible economically thus far.
