Anchored in several years of work undertaken at Princeton by founders of the firm, Andluca Technologies designs transparent, thin-film power sources that convert ultraviolet light into useful energy at the point of use. These thin-film power sources are described as 'disappearing' into their environment to enable discreet, wireless operation of smart windows and IoT devices. In addition to use in buildings, the technologies and new functionalities enabled have relevance to use in the automobile, aviation, military, eyewear, and medical sectors.
