Fomerly known as American Cimflex Corporation, American Robot Corporation is a manufacturer of industrial robot controllers, industrial robots, and automation systems. The firm has three major product lines, the Universal Robot Controller, the Merlin articulated six axis robot, and the Gantry 3000 modular gantry robot. In 1990 the company merged with Teknowledge, Inc. becoming public as Cimflex Teknowledge Corporation. Later the same year, the American Robot Division split from Cimflex to become the independent, privately held American Robot Corporation.
