Anchored in work undertaken by the principals while on University of Michigan faculty, Agita Labs, LLC has licensed the technology from that institution. Involved is a new computer processor architecture hat could usher in a future where computers proactively defend against threats, rendering the current electronic security model of bugs and patches obsolete. The firm is developing next-generation privacy-enhanced computing architectures designed to facilitate the creation new data markets while protecting data IP rights and respecting personal information. Agita is organized around commercialization of this new computer system and processor. Designated MORPHEUS, the developed chip blocks potential attacks by encrypting and randomly reshuffling key bits of its own code and data 20 times per secondâinfinitely faster than a human hacker can work and thousands of times faster than even the fastest electronic hacking techniques.
