4Power LLC is supplies high efficiency solar cells at lower cost. 4Power's technology is based on multi-junction thin film solar cells on silicon substrates. Today, high efficiency solar (>25% efficiency in production) can achieve approximately twice the efficiency of low cost solar technologies at about 100 times the cost. 4Power's technology allows the company to access silicon manufacturing infrastructure, significantly altering the business model for high efficiency solar. 4Power's estimated capacity results in market cross-over, allowing high efficiency cells to finally penetrate larger terrestrial markets. 4Power Two-Junction Power Cells: High efficiency achieved in only two junctions. Results in cells that are much less sensitive to spectral changes than current high efficiency cells. 4Power Three-Junction Power Cells: 4Power's highest efficiency cells. Due to optimal band-gap selection, only three junctions are required to achieve the highest efficiencies, decreasing the sensitivity of solar cell performance on solar spectrum.
