Public Profile
Spinout of Ohio State University, 3Bar Biologics Inc., is focused on development of ecologically sound products for organic and sustainable agriculture. A microbe delivery and manufacturing company, 3Bar Biologics partners with microbe discovery and commercialization companies working on proprietary biomanufacturing and Just-In-Time Activation technology that have re-invented the delivery of living microbial products. Having changed the biomanufacturing process - unlocking potential not available for commercial production until now - the upshot is that microbes perform better in-field, resulting in a renewed trust from farmers. The company is developing disruptive agricultural biologicals to promote crop health, enhance crop quality, and increase yields. 3Bar's first product, VIAH A1, was an inoculant formulated with naturally occurring beneficial microorganisms that are pre-adapted to the field conditions of the north central region. These microbes are delivered with a patent-pending system that achieves enhanced freshness for the grower. The product was designed for, and has been approved for use in, certified organic production while also suited for use in other sustainable production systems.
