Special Operations Forces (SOF) require an intuitive LCNC platform and tailored trainings to enable members of its operational units to prep field data for decision making. SOF are charged with conducting military missions of high significance on behalf of the United States and its allies. SOF encounter a diverse and nuanced series of data during missions and during preceding ISR operations; as such, actionable data resources are critical to SOF mission planning and execution. Avascent specializes in placing data science capability into the hands of non-technical users. Across its US Government and Defense Industry clients, Avascent has demonstrated the ability to simplify complex tasks and methodologies into a form that is digestible by users with little or no data scientist related training. Avascent has also helped organizations deploy and adopt LCNC analytic platforms to solve key data needs without custom development efforts. Based on this experience, Avascent proposes a solution that leverages the benefits of powerful commercial tools and combines them with a custom analytic training platform the overcomes the challenges of adopting COTS tools. Avascents solution is comprised of a custom analytics training hub that houses custom developed SOCOM training content and leverages Microsofts Power Platform as the LCNC Analytics/AI platform. The training hub would be comprised of a several key components: Catalog of Analytic Building Block templates and training material: These cover a wide range of common data and analytic tasks (e.g., combining/merging data, text extraction, etc.). Templates provide a starting point for users to customize to their needs and would be populated with data that would be realistic for SOCOM users (e.g., context of common SOF use-cases). In Depth Use-case based training modules: Turnkey modules would be designed around common situations SOF will encounter on operations. These use-cases would be defined in collaboration with SOCOM during Phase II development efforts. Each module leverages a series of the building blocks to execute a SOCOM relevant challenge and will include in-depth episodic videos, data flow templates, etc. The goal is that these modules can be used both for training, and operationally ready-to-use tools. Intuitive, easy to navigate, web-based training hub: The training content described above will be accessible through a web-based platform and organized in an intuitive way. The design and organization of content will help users navigate and identify the capabilities they are looking for based on the problem at hand and help distill the complex data concepts into easy-to-understand modules.
