The specific goal of this research is the development of a portable oxygen source suitable for use in providing supplemental oxygen to individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) resulting from chronic bronchiolitis, pulmonary emphysema, asthma, or chronic bronchitis.
