The long term goal of this SBIR proposal is to provide NIMA with a low cost versatile machine neuroscience based automated image analysis system based on BCR's emerging cerebral functional unit (CFU) technology. The shorter term Phase I goal is to refine the current state of this technology and provide NIMA with a "proof of concept" system for NIMA's evaluation and their future R&D efforts in this field. BCR proposes to accomplish this on the basis of three milestones over 6 months as outlines in the body of this document and additionally, at NIMA's option, the delivery of a "proof of concept" prototype system along with the training of NIMA personnel in its use.
