Bennett Aerospace proposes to develop an advanced and robust delivery system for high peak and average power USPLs (Ultrashort Pulse Lasers). The U.S. Navy has the need to deliver high spatial, temporal, and spectral quality laser radiation to a non-adjacent beam delivery subsystem for, among other applications, advanced laser-based counter-measure defensive systems. The Bennett Aerospace proposed system offers the potential for realizing the full use of high-power USPLs by providing for delivery of the output radiation to locations that are not typically accessible with a standard laser system.
Benefit: The market for lasers is seemingly endless for a robust USPL delivery system, with applications anywhere high-power lasers are steered through complex structures such as airplanes, ground vehicles, robotic systems, and the human body.
