Research and development of an Expeditionary Matting/Soil Stabilization System (EMS3) to meet USMC requirements. We propose to recreate, using modern materials, the Mo-Mat EMS3 used by USMC since 1965 in form, fit and function, as much as feasible.

Benefit:
As in the past, there are a number of commercial users requiring a Mo-Mat EMS3 to bring trucks and other wheeled heavy equipment across soft soils. Construction, oil or water drilling, pipeline installation, utility pole repair are just a few such applications.
