This proposal seeks to investigate the use of innovative structures to improve the performance of sonobuoy hydrophone arrays. In addition, AAI plans to develop novel simulation and testing techniques to fully characterize current array designs and investigate new classes of array designs.

Benefit:
Successful completion of this work will significantly improve air deployed ASW sensor performance in severe environments and potentially expand sensor array capability to exploit environmental conditions or enable novel missions to be conducted.
