A device such as a Universal Portable Communicator brings promise of ubiquitous, 'anywhere, anytime, wireless services which may be served over various disparate public networks such as Cellular, and PCS. It may also be a communication device for private networks which the Military may use over their various systems. This device has advanced features such as voice, data, and video capabilities which allows the communicator freedom from 'land-line, systems. This mobility lends to efficient and convenient completion of tasks or duties, and also provides 'real-time' benefits.
