The purpose of the FLAG (Fuzzy Logic Algorithm Grouping) Data Fusion SBIR is to provide an enhancement to the Navy's warfare capabilities in C4I (Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Intelligence) by developing an architecture that fuses acoustic and all-source data in an innovative manner. The medium risk and high payoff technology being implemented is fuzzy logic, which addresses the shortcomings of signal classification and identification. Fuzzy logic accurately quantifies knowledge in the data sets needed for classification and identification. The Fuzzy Logic Algorithm Grouping (FLAG) being implemented examines and prepares data sets for optimal data fusion.
