This SBIR effort is to investigate how a system such as JTIDS/MIDS can contribute to cooperative tactics in the multiple mission areas. All of these missions may be properly classified under the overall heading of Cooperative Engagement (CE). Cooperative Engagement may be defined as the optimum utilization of the collective sensor, C3, and weapon resoureces of a community in order to macimize that community's mission effectiveness. The total situation awareness provided by a JTIDS-equipped tactical community, combined with common extremely repcise navigation and time reference frames directly support the functional capabilities necessary for each of the mission areas under consideration. The primary goals of this program are to define specific cooperataive tactics with supportive Concepts of Operations which demonstrte the uniqu JTIDS mission attributes for each mission area. Specifically quantitative payoff estimates derivable by these JTIDS-basaed tactics will be addressed. In carrying out htese missions, tactical considerations which depend on the JTIDS attributes defined above will receive primary emphasis.
