nou Systems, Inc. will leverage expertise across multiple disciplines to produce a multi-physics modeling and simulation (M&S) environment for characterizing and predicting hypersonic cruise missile signatures. We propose an approach that uses high-fidelity models (such as Computational Fluid Dynamics) and analytical models that integrate vehicle configuration with vehicle equations of motion, accounting for numerous features such as aerothermal heating, wake flow phenomena, material response, RF propagation, and propulsion plumes. We will leverage these models along with technology produced through multiple SBIR programs, including rapid parametric signature generation, to develop a suite of algorithms that predict vehicle signatures based on modeling approaches designed by nSI.
