Seed Innovations applies our experience in framework development, modeling and simulation, automatic code generation, and software architecture to accomplish the research for the SBIR topic: Model Level Integrated Simulation Architecture for Collaborative Development. Through the research on this project, Seed Innovations designs and develops a prototype system, the Flexible Integrated Simulation Architecture (FISA). The purpose of FISA is to facilitate development of reusable models which can be composed into a simulation without causing the simulation framework to be modified. FISA allows users to develop and assemble reusable models, compose complex simulations, execute the simulation locally or on distributed resources, analyze simulation results, develop third party plug-ins. In the development of the FISA prototype, Seed Innovations applies modern software techniques including automatic code generation, modern interface definition techniques, and containerization of executables in support of developing and executing complex simulations to aid the warfighter. When deployed to meet MDAs modeling and simulation challenge, FISA enables transformation of the methodology to develop modeling and simulation system thereby substantially improving user efficiency.
