This proposed program seeks to develop, demonstrate, and commercialize a versatile new computer modeling approach for simulating and predicting the Battle Management, Command, Control, Computers and Communications (BMC4) operation and performance for the Ballistic Missile Defense System currently under development by the Missile Defense Agency. It will model BMC4 network performance by: 1.) modeling each BMC4 component, 2.) simulating the digital passed between the BMC4 components and 3.) emulating data flow through the BMC4 system. The program will calculate the: 1.) Data Latency, 2.) Component Loading and 3.) Economic Cost for potential engineering designs; thereby providing BMC4 architects with an urgently needed tool for better designing/modifying future BMC4 systems. Present Joint National Integration Center initiatives and programs model the missile defense battlespace and focus on developing strategies to win a missile defense fight. However, they do not actually model BMC4 architecture operation from a component perspective (EADTB models the relationships between the sensors, weapons, and BMC4 nodes, but only at a high level). Therefore, there is currently no BMC4 design tool that models the interaction of the networks, computers, and software. The goal of this proposal is to solve this deficiency
