Optical Engines Seeks to develop an Ultra Large Mode Area Fiber Amplifier Harness for creating high intensity fiber laser arrays for sources like those described in the Brightest Light Initiative. OEI will create a monolithic fiber amplifier based on the Yb Doped Photonic Crystal fiber which will be amenable to forming multi-element arrays.
