Mentis Sciences Inc. proposes to develop Technical Data Packages (TDP) and generate Source Approval Requests (SAR) for critically needed components for the DLA NESO weapon systems, including the B-2, B-52, Air Launched Cruise Missile, and Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. Mentis has discussed several components previously with DLA that need added support due to supply chain deficiencies. Some components cannot be sourced, so replacement procedures cannot be utilized, hindering the support to the fleet. Source development is necessary for the system to continue operating uninterrupted. Mentis proposes to utilize expertise in source development and reverse engineering established in previous efforts to provide the DLA and Air Force with a cost-efficient method of re-establishing sources for near-term, mission-critical components. Mentis will develop sources with emphasis on first year of need. Mentis will work closely with the various engineering teams to prioritize the source development efforts to efficiently provide sources of supply. Mentis will then complete the reverse engineering, as needed, and source development for components, in concert with completing Source Approval Requests. The SAR process will be guided by the ESA and all requirements will be established by the MQR-PSD-1 document. By the end of the program, Mentis will be on track to be an approved supplier for the components and set-up to be supplying multiple critically needed parts for the program.
