The overall objective of this proposal is to demonstrate that AMG Engineering, a proven SDOVSB, has the wherewith all to design, plan, and implement processes that meet DLA’s criteria for achieving their supplier development efforts regarding the production of Legacy products with reduced lead time and costs. Phase I research will show the feasibility of manufacturing Part Number K405007C, 2-Way Blast Valve Refurb Kit, utilizing the latest CNC milling/machining technology and related special fixturing techniques.

The primary objective of this Phase II proposal is to perform the tasks necessary to develop TDP’s via RE techniques and SAR packages to maintain these critical components to meet the needs of our Warfighters. The overall objective of this effort is to improve product availability for current and legacy weapons systems, provide competition for reduced lead times and costs, and address lifecycle performance challenges. Phase II research and work will require a highly trained team of engineers, technicians, and skilled labor force to satisfy these requirements, which includes machinists, programmers, and quality assurance personnel. This team will develop procedures and processes for performing RE and SAR’s as outlined in TDP’s.
