Galley Power proposes to design an AC/DC Lithium-ion battery module with programmable configurations enabling building high-voltage battery pack that supports AC/DC sources and AC/DC loads. The flexibility of operations is achieved by employing an electronics configuration strategy that is designed to have minimum overhead in power loss and cost. The battery module can support 24~60V DC. When configured as multi-module battery pack, the proposed system supports multiple AC output schemes including common AC loads and various types of motors. When programmed, DC and AC power source can directly charge the battery pack without compromising the battery safety and performance. The proposed module can be interconnected and scaled up to 1000V.
