While, significant progress has been made in GPS denied position, navigation, and timing (PNT) over the last few years, acquiring reliable PNT for extended periods when GPS is jammed or spoofed often relies on radio frequency (RF) signals for ranging to support collaborative navigation and time transfer. These additional PNT signals can also be jammed during operations - both inadvertently by friendly systems and intentionally by adversaries. Additionally, the RF emissions could enable the PNT devices to be detected and located by adversaries with sophisticated SIGINT capability. Techniques for making these ranging signals anti-jam and lower probability of detection/geolocation are needed to improve reliability and survivability. TRX is proposing to develop a resilient and platform agnostic PNT waveform that can be used for RF ranging, time transfer, and collaborative navigation with an accuracy similar to GPS. The proposed new PNT waveform provides improved anti-jam resiliency and low probability of interception and detection.
