VRCO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fakespace, Inc., proposes to develop an automated system that provides real-time three dimensional (3D) image capture and scene generation for near real-time 3D visualization capabilities as applied to Army C2 functions for the battlefield and for first responders, as well as for training activities. The overall strategic goal of our proposed SBIR Phase I and potential Phase II effort is the introduction, testing and initial deployment of a 3D terrain generation capability linked with current Army decision support tools such as CPOF. The resulting system would incorporate automated conversion tools that would enable easy 3D visualization of multi-modal, multi-dimensional, temporally changing data, both from real-time data streams and also residing in multiple databases. Additional emphasis would be placed on the use of collaborative, network centric i3D visualization methods using broadband connectivity to support on demand collaborative multi-site use of this data.
