Onvector is taking the robust power of plasma water purification further by deploying its revolutionary Plasma Vortex technology to destroy PFAS “forever chemicals” in groundwater remediation. These emerging contaminants from fire-fighting foam used in military base training exercises are harmful to humans at trace levels. The Plasma Vortex reactor is a high-flow hydrocyclone filled with continuous arc plasma (ionized gas or “arc lightning”) capable of destroying recalcitrant PFAS contaminants. Plasma (ionized gas or “arc lightning”) is an extraordinarily powerful and energy-efficient new water treatment platform, far much more robust than ozone or UV alone. Onvector’s Plasma Vortex technology delivers multiple reactants simultaneously, including hydroxyl radicals, singlet oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, ozone, UV, and other charged particles, including high-energy electrons which destroy PFAS.
