This research leverages extensive general-purpose "no-code" infrastructure to create the best end-to-end IoT digital twin solution. Like embedded systems, IoT digital twin solutions require great diversity in requirements. Discovering technologies and capabilities, integrating them, and developing a bespoke solution involves substantial cost. Infrastructure is needed to lower transaction costs associated with the integration of capabilities for powerful solutions. Our approach leverages two unique platforms we have developed, Montage (https://www.montage-software.com(link is external)) and Virtuoso (https://www.virtuoso-software.com(link is external)) to leverage scalable packaged capabilities with end-to-end digital ecosystem support, and no-code infrastructure that allows IoT digital twinning capabilities to be produced and consumed at a scale. Our no-code platform, Virtuoso, was initially designed for the purpose of quickly creating virtualized hardware for embedded systems. Our solution will thus uniquely support a capability no other solution will have: The ability to drag and drop virtual IoT sensors and devices running the actual embedded software that runs on the IoT hardware. This provides enormous benefits to embedded IoT developers, who are then able to leverage this research to develop and test IoT software in a no-code virtual environment.
