Alitheon™, Inc. is a Bellevue, WA - based technology company founded in 2016. Alitheon’s FeaturePrint™? system is an optical AI technology that creates for items and products, what fingerprints are for people – a distinct, completely unique inherent identifier that does not require you to modify or add anything to your item. Using just a camera, FeaturePrinting enables authentication, identification, and traceability of individual items out of millions of similar objects. With a focus of unique item identification, the USAF will be able to eliminate counterfeits, mistaken identifications, and wrong parts (albeit authentic ones) being used. Installing the wrong authentic part could be as dangerous as installing a counterfeit one. The Alitheon system solves both problems. Alitheon will work with the USAF to prioritize the components, parts, and assemblies with highest risk / consequence of counterfeiting and mistaken identity. We will work with the USAF and suppliers to register, authenticate, identify, track & trace the items from production through the supply chain and until point of install / use. Using standard cameras and mobile solutions, we will integrate the Alitheon solution into the USAF operating procedures. The work to be performed in the duration of this project will target the items with the highest consequence and highest demand that might be higher risk targets for CFSI activity. Once it’s identified, Alitheon engineers with work to define and fine-tune the technology to fit these needs. Trials will be performed at USAF End-user test sites and make adaptations. The rest of the project will be reporting and displaying the work done throughout the duration. The Alitheon team is comprised of experienced mathematicians, physicists, and software engineers that have joined together from companies such as Microsoft, RAF, Google, Tableau, Raytheon, and Boeing with advanced degrees from leading institutions including University of Washington, University of Southern California, University of Arizona, Stanford, and Yale. The leadership team alone has combined experiences spanning over 150 years including military service, engineering, and industrial work.
