The US Air Force and the Department of Defense have started to utilize the smartphone and the inherent computing power via the ATAK system in operations. i-Blades has been working informally with the Weapons and Tactics Flight of the 131st Rescue Squadron (131 RQS) to develop a SDR i-Blade that works with issued Android phones, in order to reduce the communications load, to introduce flexibility and allow increased capability and interoperability. i-Blades is a multi-million dollar company with over 100% annual growth rate and over $10million dollars in Private Investment. In 2019, i-Blades Receives Strategic Investment from In-Q-Tel to accelerate growth investment to turn ordinary smartphones into extraordinary mobile solutions for the U.S. intelligence community.
