ChainShield is an application that provides supply chain risk management by automating the research and monitoring of the various nodes within a program or organizations supply chains. ChainShield is designed to proactively provide alerts to potential issues within a Supply Chain and support the development of a secure supply chain, including ethical sourcing. ChainShield users can conduct What If scenarios to measure the impact of natural disasters, political unrest, nefarious activities or government sanctions; giving confidence in supply chain resiliency and providing Supply Chain Managers, Item Managers, Procurement Officers, or other Government Officials with situational awareness of their global supply chains. The goal of this project is to achieve an operational instance of ChainShield in a USAF environment. This includes developing APIs or other mechanisms and associated algorithms to connect relevant data sets and integrate them with ChainShield. It also includes expansion/tailoring of ChainShield user interfaces to enable selected AFNWC users to monitor and strengthen supply chains. ChainShield is a COTS product that will be modified to meet the goals of this project.
